Serena Deng
Before delving into Web3, Serena spent a foundational portion of her career in Private Banking at UBS in Hong Kong, serving UHNW Greater China & Asia clients and their interests as a Private Banker. She earned the distinction of being the youngest banker on the team, with a winning combination of maturity, diligence and integrity widely acknowledged by her highly discerning clients. She relocated to Zurich during COVID, which also opened the door naturally for her to embark on her explorations of Web3. In 2021, she formally ventured into DeFi and was immediately captivated by blockchain's potential to transform financial systems and daily life. Serena then indulged her passion in DeFi and NFTs, and worked at AMINA bank (a FINMA licensed crypto bank in Switzerland) as the lead of Asia desk. There, she formed strong ties with Web3 stakeholders in Asia. Due to her ongoing desire to connect the dots and connect people, Serena actively engages in the European Web3 communities and is personally close to major Layer 1 network foundations in Switzerland, while also bridging these to her deep rooted relationships in Asia. Melissa is a writer with 17+ years of experience in public and private education. As a credentialed teacher and San Francisco curriculum coach, she has taught grades 6 through PhD to excel in academic writing; as an artist, she supports completion of full-length fiction/nonfiction manuscripts. Melissa supports clients in developing their own voices, with an eye towards drawing out their unique stories and accomplishments. Over the years, her students have gained admissions to Top 10 and Top 5 schools, such as Yale, Harvard, UPenn, Columbia, and MIT, and her clients universally report pride in developing lifelong writing skills.
